The original painting is created on a canvas that is a traditional stretched cotton and is  3/4" deep along the sides.

It is NOT a deep profile canvas-- and is stapled along the sides. It  is a fantastic painting that can be hung as is, but may be best when framed.

 

The prints, however, are gallery wrapped with the image mirrored on the sides and able to be hung without a frame.

 

"Genesis One" is a super saturated, vibrant painting that was created primarily with pure color using a palette knife. The application has a mixture of a glossy medium that causes the paint to become transparent and shiny.

 

Of course, Genesis One is the first book in the Bible that refers to creation. In Genesis One, God is making something fabulous out of Chaos. It is a bit of a self portrait...as most of my original art is! Our lives are beautifully colorful and yet we feel as though we are out of control at times. The water is turbulent...and you only hope that it is going somewhere. You will notice at the bottom of the painting, the water lands between solid rock into a wonderfully restful pool.
